An interface is a means of communication between a program and the user. There are three primary steps involved in building an application.įirst of all, the user interface is designed. I will explain everything with the help of examples.

So, in this article, I will teach you the very basics including how to create a new project, how to add a form, how to add buttons, how to add text boxes, how to add labels, and so on. Currently, on my system Visual basic 2012 is installed. It is very simple to develop an application using visual basic 2012, it doesn’t matter which version you have, the application designing and visual basic programming are exactly the same, with the newer versions you get some new features and that’s all. So, this is the reason I am writing this very basic article about how to get started with VB.net. These projects are a little harder for beginners. First, change the text of the form to My First vb2019 Program in the properties window, it will appear as the title of the program. Now, we shall proceed to show you how to create your first program in Visual Basic 2019. The toolbox can be hidden or dragged to the bottom or side of the window. It also consists of a toolbox which contains many useful controls that allow a programmer to develop his or her Visual Basic 2019 program. VB2019 IDE comprises a few windows, the Form window, the Solution Explorer window and the Properties window. You can quickly launch recently open recently opened projects, clone from GitHub, open a project or solution, open a local folder or create a new project. When you first launch Visual Studio 2019, the following start Page appears, as shown in Figure 1.1. The VS2019 start page is quite different from VS 2017. After downloading and installing VS 2019, you are now ready to launch Visual Studio 2019 and start programming in Visual Basic 2019.
